Greetings! On February 8, 2023, I was sworn in as your Ward 2 commissioner. I am excited and honored to be working with and advocating for our Ward 2 community.  My wife Donna (deceased) and I chose Cheltenham 21 years ago and I have been committed to being a changemaker here ever since. For the past ten years, I served on the Township’s Economic Development Task Force and was elected as Chair for the past five years. In June 2022, I was elected Co-Chair of the Cheltenham Democratic Committee, where I serve as committee person for Ward 2-1.

I bring to the role decades of experience in government, private industry, and non-profit organizations, in addition to service on several boards and community groups.  After 30 years at Jefferson Hospital, I retired as a corporate leader with a distinguished career in Information Technology and Telecommunications, to pursue my passion for serving people as Chief-of-Staff with State Senator Art Haywood’s team, where my contributions and impact are seen at the local and state levels. I have been founder and co-founder of non-profit and community organizations that enrich the lives of others. I was also a Big Brother for over 15 years with Big Brothers Big Sisters and received the Outstanding Big Brother of The Year Award.  Most recently, I was accepted to serve as a panelist in the Montgomery County Youth Aid Panel (YAP) Program.

 

I am eager to take on this next chapter with you, where I promise to put my leadership strengths, creativity, vision, and critical thinking skills to work for the benefit of our community. But most importantly, I have a passion for service, a love of people, and a listening ear.  I am a father of three adult daughters, a pop-pop to five grandchildren, a mentor, coach, motivational speaker, and an enthusiast of sports and baking.  I can’t do this alone; therefore, I will form a Ward 2 advisory and support group to help me govern for a better and stronger Cheltenham!  I live in Cheltenham and Cheltenham lives in me!
